If you were at the Magic game on Tuesday night... you already heard this... VH1 has put together 4 ex-Boy Band members
to see if they can create a new band... a "Man Band" if you will... and make some great music... They're living together
in a house here in Orlando... and one of their first performances was at half-time of an Orlando Magic game...
we got a hold of the audio... Check it out and then post your comments and let us know what you think!!!

Best Wishes
Started out kind of shaky but I'm glad I kept listening.  I'd definately get my ass out on the dance floor and shake it:)
Good Luck!

PRETTY COOL
I just got the audio in this website. The song is pretty cool, i think the instrumental it´s very catchy. the vocal arrangement its nice. About the "off of key stuffs", some people says the sound at the game´s day was kinda bad, maybe that´s the reason of the guys don´t offer everything they can.
Just remember there´s a lot of people from  BRASIL (yes, the country. I a huge fan of Nsync, 98 Degrees, LFO and EVEN Collor me Badd).

Congratulations!! i´ve been supporting you guys from almost a decade so i´ll just keep it!

PEACE!

OBS: I use to sing and dance here in my country (pop, R&B and hip hop...ACTUALLY, all ofthem came from groups that influences me) and i know how hard it is to perform without the right sources.

OBS2: sorry for the english mistakes

I think this is a good idea that these guys have put this band together.  It is giving them each a chance to get back out onto the road and continue their living which got them all famous in the first place.  I can understand that Chris would want to do this because NSYNC won't get back together because Justin Timberlake feels he is too good for the group, which made him famous and gave him his name.  Anyways, I feel Jeff was a good choice for the group for his vocal skills.  I don't like the guy who was singing in the beginning, his voice is too nasal.  I hope Rich Cronin can sing more then he raps because his rapping sucks.  I used to love LFO.  Good luck to these guys.

Check them out live!
Sureshot will be playing The Mansion in Miami tomorrow night. Doors open at 11pm- show starts at 11:30. Go check it out and see for yourselves how great this band is! I would go but I'm up in the northeast.

:)
Not too bad guys...my one advice would be to try and not make your sound, sound like that old school poppy thing.  Try and put some R&B flavor to it and get rid of the pop sound.  That would be tight:) You guys can do it, you all have the experience, so keep up the good work and make it hot! Much love..xoxo :)

Bryan Abrams is the MAN

Lots of folks are bagging on the "first" guy.  Doesn't anyone realize that guy is Bryan Abrams?  The LEAD singer from Color Me Badd?  Probably one of the best voices on the planet.  Okay, the song wasn't the greatest recording, but who the heck can hear themselves in the middle of an arena.  Bryan had the most difficult part to sing and no one appreciates the difficult things he can pull off.  Just wait.   You'll all be in awe of him as this thing comes to fruition!

I think the guys sounded great, I heard they had 2 days to learn this song.  I think the audio was terrible, and VH1 could have picked a MUCH better place to showcase them.  But they have a lot of potential, and they are all incredible guys.

Pretty Nice Stuff
All i can say is this wasnt what i thought the next move would be for pop music as we know it. Iam an audio engineer here in orlando and wish i knew about this at an earlier time because i been trying to work on a project like this for a while now. If the right people read this please give me the sure shot. I like what i hear. potential and all. kinda wish it had more of a "new" sound not so much the sound of pop as we know it from back when these guys were the bread and butter of their own acts and groups. Cant wait to see where this may go next. truthfully, this group needs a BSB member i think but iam sure there was thought of that with no result for some reason, just the nature of the industry.

Why even bother commenting bad things about this group?

Does it make you feel better about your pathetic self?  COME ON!!!  Do you guys know who is in this group?  Chris Kirkpatrick from one of the greatest bands in history who sold millions of albums with sold out shows for years, *NSYNC!!!  If you are laughing than you are just ignorant and never took the time to really listen or watch how amazing they were.  You know you sang their songs in the shower and either wished you had them or wished that you were them.  Give this group a chance!  I know all of you got your groove on while listening to these groups in the 90's.  I love the people who thought and still think they are so cool it cracks me up.  Well these guys are better then all of you!!!  Obviously cause of where they are and where you are not!!!  So shut it!!!  Man some of you people are really harsh and for no reason.  WHF?  Anytime anyone hears a song once and live at that of course it's gonna sound a little strange at first but once u hear it a few times on the radio or in the club everyone is gonna be all over it.  75 percent of all the new music that has come out in the last few years sucks ass and is annoying.  I can't wait for these grown up guys to come out with some good stuff that is fun and new.  How can you go wrong with people so awesome?  You can't!!!  So just wait and see.  I never understood why everyone is obsessed with the term boyband and why they are so negative about it, when almost every band is a bunch of guys singing together so why is it any different?  They're are made fun of because they are hot talented and they can dance?  Yeah good reason.  So as for you loser guys that are obviously just jealous because you are not hot and you will never in a million years be as talented as them, go jerk off in your rooms to girls that you will never have a chance with and these guys do :P hahaha.

"I would rather just have *NSync back though.  They were the best boy band of their time and their voices went so well together..."

I totally agree with you Amanda!! :) I would even be happy if the 4 of them would get back together!!

There is potential...
I agree with some of the others that have posted about the first guy needing some more practice.  His voice has great potential, but he needs to work on it.  Chris and Jeff both did a great job, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's going to happen with this.  I have to say that it is really great to finally get to hear Chris sing.  His voice is beautiful!

The group had a good sound to it.  Rich Cronin and Chris Krikpatick sounded really good.  I think Jeff Tommons and Bryan Adrams need some voice lessons. The both where off key.

Posted By: Tara - Sunday, January 28th 2007 @ 6:11am
Umm.. it's ok but,....
Ok guys, I LOVE both.. Jeff and Chris..

BUt, y'all need to work on the vocals there. ;)   I mean the song is cool and all.. but to me, it sounds like a mashed up mix of songs. ;)  Work on it and i'm sure it WILL mesh well.

When does this show come out again?

Posted By: VegasZ - Sunday, January 28th 2007 @ 2:46am
GREAT SOUND!!!!!
Chris - you never cease to amaze me. Drew and Ethan say hey and keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the show.

Interesting...
I have to agree with quite a few people here on this one, the guy at the beginning of the song did throw me off. I didn't like the way the song started, and that threw off the rest of the song for me. I wanted to like it, I really did. But it just didn't do it for me. It's something that with polishing up I think would get stuck in my head for days and have me mumbling along to it... But right now, I just can't get into it. Not only the music, but I didn't really like the way their voices sounded together. I'm sure that can be helped, though. Chris is wonderful, and I'm glad to see him back out and doing something. I missed seeing you goof off, Chris!

Potential
The beats is great...the sound is great...they need more Jeff Timmons in it....the beginning sounds like hmm idk hip hopish..if they fix the song a bit u can c it on the billboard charts
Posted By: Khan - Saturday, January 27th 2007 @ 9:36pm
I like it.
I actually like this song.  I agree with everyone when they said the beginning was a little rough, but he was just probably nervous since they haven't performed in a long time.  But other than that, it was a pretty hot song.  My favorite part was when Chris sang(of course, cuz NSYNC is my fave boy band lol).

chris and band
i'm all for this group they rock i have always been a fan of LFO, Color Me Bad, 98* and of course NSYNC!!!! i cant wait to hear more of it!
Posted By: kelly - Saturday, January 27th 2007 @ 8:27pm
It\'s all good.
This first song sounds a bit cheesy. Like hot dripping melty cheese. And some people aren't exactly digging it. I think maybe thats the intent. They're poking fun at themselves right off the bat with the first song, and getting out of the way the stereotypes of the groups they were involved with before. Chris has said repeatedly that *N SYNC were always the first ones to make fun of themselves before anyone else did. Sureshot is getting out of the way the obvious and saying "Okay we came from boybands... so what? Stick around and find out what we're really made of."

Four guys with decades of talent and experience between them. I've been listening to Color Me Badd for the last 17 years. Then 98 Degrees and *N SYNC for the last 9 years. I personally cannot wait to hear what these talented men have in store.
Posted By: Perry - Saturday, January 27th 2007 @ 8:11pm
Not Bad
It wasn't bad for a first song by the band but it sounded like a rough recording. I liked the vocals by Jeff, Chris and Rich. I think the other member needs some work vocally though. I would definitely watch the show!! I'm ashamed to admit I'm still addicted to reality TV.
Posted By: D. - Saturday, January 27th 2007 @ 3:47pm
Hopeful
I was a fan of Color Me Badd back in the day and Chris was always my favorite from NSync, but I didn't really enjoy this song.  I know that there is a lot of talent in that group, but I think that they need to spend some more time together.  It just doesn't seem to be as good as they could possibly make it. I'm not sure if it is the recording or due to the early dynamics of the group.  I'm hoping for the best for them though.

The song is catchy and I think it has potential.  In my opinion the guy that sings first needs a little more practice though.  Would like to hear the studio version.

Guys
You have potential. Lots of it, but I didn't like the song. The song sounded like... It wasn't finished. It could be mixed better. I couldn't you tell how :) but, it just sounded... bad. I felt the lyrics were way too generic, even for pop music. It was very predictable and not in a good way. It wasn't a memorable catchy tune. More like music that would be static. Music one doesn't really notice.

I'm sorry I didn't like the song. :(

However, I'll still be waiting for the next tune. :) I'm hopeful it'll get better and show you guys at your full potential. I'll definitely be watching the show to see how you guys have grown as people and musical artists over the years. :)

P.S. Chris. I <3 U. =)

Sureshot at Sucking
I was at the game.  When they announced the group, I started laughing.  I was in high school when Color Me Badd was big - and I know that Chris Kirkpatrick is a great guy.  But the Color Me Badd guy looks like he ate the rest of the band - like a last man standing competition for this spot.  And the group was AWFUL.  The crowd starting booing - which was hillarioius.  The guys didn't mesh at all.  I'm sure they will hit the songs with some magic mixing board.  I hope so, because it was pathetic and stupid.  And, no, I was not out there singing, blah blah blah.  But this is not American Idol.  These guys "were" professionals.  They didn't have to do this.  So, if they choose to go out and try to catch magic in a bottle, I can rag on them.  And they sucked -- big time.
Posted By: David - Friday, January 26th 2007 @ 6:36pm
DIDN'T KNOW GOD WAS HERE

I'M SORRY BUT DO ANY OF YOU HAVE THE BALLS TO GO AND SING AT THE HALFTIME OF THE MAGIC GAME. I DON'T THINK ANY OF YOU WERE IN THAT PICTURE?? MAYBE SOME OF YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW YOU USED TO SWOON OVER THESE GUYS. OH AND ANOTHER THING, THERE WAS OBVIOUSLY A DEMAND FOR THEM SOMEWHERE SINCE VH1 APPROACHED THEM TO DO THIS TOGETHER AND DO THE SHOW. THIS IS A REALITY SHOW AFTER ALL.  I THINK EVERYONE NEEDS TO STEP DOWN OFF THEIR SOAPBOXES AND LOOK AT THEIR OWN LIVES BEFORE THEY GET TO JUDGEMENTAL OVER A SONG. YEA, PROBABLY WASN'T THEIR BEST WORK. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW NSYNC SOUNDED WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED? NOT THEIR BEST WORK EITHER. THEY PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE WAITED A LITTLE LONGER, AND NOT PERFORMED AT A MAGIC GAME, AND THEY MAY HAVE GOTTEN A BETTER RESPONSE. MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW WHAT THESE GUYS HAVE BEEN THROUGH OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS. IT HASN'T BEEN THAT PRETTY. UNTIL YOU'VE WALKED A MILE IN SOMEONE ELSE'S SHOES YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE THEM. YOU DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO, THAT'S WHY GOD GAVE US THUMBS AND FINGERS SO WE CAN CHANGE THE STATION.

Not Good
Guys,
what were you thinking of?  The first guy that started out the song threw the whole thing off...he was awful and that performance was not worthy to be shown at the Magic Game.

Stay in the studio and work on your songs and don't come out until ALL of you are READY!!!

I'll be looking forward to watching the show on VH1...

I gotta say the sound quality sucks. The beat was actually pretty cool, but in my opinion, Chris has the best voice out of all of them. There's -some- potential in it. lol

I think I need to hear an official version of this before I judge it.  The audio could have been better.  I would rather just have *NSync back though.  They were the best boy band of their time and their voices went so well together...
I will be watching though since Jeff and Rich were my fave members of 98* and LFO... who is the 4th guy though... never seen or heard of him in my life?

The Guys & The Song
I just listened to the new song on SureShot and its really off the chain and so are all the guys in the group.  They really haven't lost their touch, because like I said, all the guys are off the chain and so is the song itself.  All the guys need to get together after the show is over with and think about doing a whole CD ( Album ), with that song being one of the main songs that they will include on it, because I would buy the CD.  So no matter what someone says other wise, in a negitive way, about all the guys in the group or the song, they just don't know what the hell they are talking about and they are just hating, that's all, because they themselves don't know how to sing or even go about trying to sing as well.  I can't understand why anyone out there, would want to say anything bad about any of the guys in the group anyway, at least they wanting and are doing something with their talented that GOD gave each of them, so anyone who goes around saying bad thing about other people, especially all of these guys or the song I just heard and really listened to, need to shut the hell up and get a life, because I loved the song and all the guys as well, who are singing it, especially " Bryan Abrams "!!!!!!!!

I actually really liked it, a dance tune, and the person that sang first sounded great considering how bad this copy is.  I am soooo looking forward to hearing this either live or on a CD, guys bring the show and yourselves to the UK each and everyone of you still have songs played on our radio over here, so you will do great!!!

BTW to someone below, Drew isn't in the group!!

Give the guys a chance they are doing this to raise money for Rich's cancer charity, so all the money on the sale of the single goes to a good cause!! because of this and it is a charity close to my heart and alot of peoples heart, you have my full backing!

Jeff I can not wait to see your name back in the charts!!

This was the worst crap ever--a bunch of 30 somethings that can't even sing on key.  The song is cheesy and has nothing to offer.  Guys don't quite your day jobs

Yay! I'm so excited to be listening to Chris again!! He is such a talented guy!! The song was pretty good... I'm not to crazy about the little rap part of it but over all I think it's a good start! I would like to hear a slow song from them all together. Can't wait to hear & see more!! Good luck Chris!!

i don't think the song is bad I only know two members of this bad only Drew & Chris, who are the other two?
Posted By: anonymous - Friday, January 26th 2007 @ 8:51am
I like the song.....
But the quality of the MP3 SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... as well as the recording of it. The person who recorded this, took it from a direct output, where you can't set any levels afterwards..
Back to the MP3 part..

Any good produced studio track would sound like BS if you converted it to 56kbps mono..... So, bring on the studio release.. I'm sure a few haters would change their minds..

I really liked it
I really liked the song. It's very catchy. It makes me want to dance! LOL! The guys, I think they did a fantastic job, I really don't hear any of the mistakes that the other people are saying. I know they are just starting but if this is what they sound like starting out...just imagine if they become a new group! I'm really excited for them all and I can't wait to see what comes next.

..by how horrible that was. I think I would rather listen to K-Fed's "Popozao".

Speaking as someone who was excited about "Man Band", I was completely disappointed. I can't help but say that this is a total step back for Chris. His Nigels 11 stuff is way better than this. :( I thought they wanted to shed their boyband image but all this is doing is reaffirming it.

Not great
I hate to say it, and maybe I just set my hopes too high, I really wanted this song to be GREAT... However this song was NOT great....  I was hoping for better and was VERY disappointed...  But i'm giving the benefit of the doubt that it is because they are a new band and need LOTS of work.

Yea let's just say that they should just retire, give up, they were good while they lasted in whatever they did in the past. I was not impressed at all with this song. Either they need to come out with something better soon or just quit while they are ahead!

They suck that song will go nowhere. But I guess when you take a bunch of has beens and put them together that is what you are going to get crap music.
Posted By: anonymous - Thursday, January 25th 2007 @ 7:08pm
Wow!
I wasn't crazy about it the song and music were good but I think the first person that started the song REALLY needs to get some vocal lessons. I could not stand his voice. Other then that I think it was ok. I give them all credit though it is their first song. I am sure that they can do a lot better!

i agree with the last person to comment. I think it's pretty good. I mean it isn't the best but they haven't been together for very long. They all are talented and I'm sure over time they'll get a whole lot better and I can't wait for that. :-D

What happened to Nigels !!?
I was not real impressed with them as a whole.  Each one has there own sound, and only 1 stood out in vocals.  Chris, what happened to Nigels 11?  That is where you belong.

I can't believe some of you...
I was at the game... which most of you weren't... it was not nearly as bad as people are saying it is... A Magic game may have been a bad idea... but these are 4 guys that all have sold millions of records... MILLIONS... they are talented guys... and while this may not be the best song I've ever heard... it's a pretty good start for 4 guys that haven't been together too long... maybe you should wait to pass judgement...

I'm pretty sure any of you would never say this to them... in fact... some of you have probably "chased" them around when they were with their groups back in the day...

SHUT UP... and give them a chance!

Can you say AMATEURS?
Wow, I can't believe they were in a boy band  before. Obviously, none were lead singers. Atleast I hope not. They sound like  average kids making a desperate attempt to make it big. Lyrics and vocal was terrible. The only thing I like that was the beat.

Are you Kiddin' Me?
The song was absolutely boring.  I listened to it for less then a minute, and it was time to move on.  An idea of a man band is good-but they need to man up.  It sounded like it was geared toward the same crowd they played for so many years ago.  Do something fresh, maybe harmonize a little more-maybe even sing about real life situtations that adults can appreciate!

I hope it woks out for them!

Same ol' same ol'
That sound is sooooo played out... you'd think with a new opportunity they might strive for something new and different?

I'm guessing a "2nd chance" @ success don't mean to them what it would to most.

OKAY
I like the song but whoever sings first needs to practice more. He was off key.

hmmmmm...
it gave me a flashback of when i was like 12... cute. But we're all grown up here. it sounds like they got stuck on their past. They really, really need to get better lyrics and work on their harmonies. All the guys are sweet, but they make me wonder if they ever had talent. sorry guys.

Sure Shot
Manager made a bad choice to have them perform at a basketball game.  The guys were not bad.   If given a differnt arena to perform in and with the right audience (age) they would be fine.  Again the manager made a bad decision to have them perform there.  Good Luck with the VH1 show.

How do I say this nicely?
I was at the Magic game Tuesday night.  I was with a group of teenage girls.  The consensus on the performance was that it was Awful.  Sorry guys.
